Job objective moCa Cleveland seeks an experienced and motivated Senior Bookkeeper to oversee the museum’s day-to-day financial operations. This hybrid role (minimum three days onsite) is a meaningful opportunity to bring your skills to a mission-driven, mid-sized nonprofit that serves as the region’s hub for contemporary art. At moCa, you’ll join a dynamic team driving creativity, innovation, and cultural exchange in Cleveland and beyond. We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable accounting professional with nonprofit expertise who thrives in both precision and problem-solving. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and transparent financial practices. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director, fractional CFO, senior leadership, and the development team to maintain audit readiness and operational excellence—providing the financial foundation that empowers moCa’s staff to focus on delivering bold, impactful artistic and community programs. Duties & responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting practices Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and donation entries Process payroll for approximately 40 staff (full-time, part-time, and seasonal) using Paylocity Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports Partner with the development team to track donations, pledges, restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring accurate allocation in QuickBooks Online Monitor and report on cash flow; assist with budgeting and forecasting Support annual audits and ensure compliance with reporting requirements for grants and funding partners Interface with tools such as DonorPerfect, Square, QGiv, and various financial portals (e.g., Fidelity, PNC, Clearstead) Minimum qualifications 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a nonprofit or arts-based environment Expertise in QuickBooks Online and proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with nonprofit accounting, fund tracking, and donor-restricted contributions Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll platforms High attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments Experience with CRM/donor platforms (e.g., DonorPerfect) strongly preferred Comfort working with external auditors, foundations, and grant reporting Exposure to platforms such as Square, QGiv, Fidelity, PNC, or Clearstead is a plus Experience working with external auditors and foundation reporting preferred Benefits This position includes a highly competitive benefits package.     Title Round John Giorno White Columns 2013 Print Portfolio Screenprint, edition 49/100 18 x 18 inches Estimated Value: $175 Starting Bid: $75 Gift of Cleveland Clinic. More: John Giorno Poet and visual artist John Giorno was born in 1936 in New York City. He attended Columbia University and worked as a stockbroker for a short time before meeting Andy Warhol in 1962. A romantic relationship ensued, and Giorno was featured in Warhol’s first film, Sleep (1963). The influence of pop art and Warhol’s Factory are evident in Giorno’s work, which developed out of verbal collages of appropriated texts drawn from advertising and signage. In 2010, he had his first solo gallery show, Black Paintings and Drawings , which focused on the development of poem painting. He lived in New York City until his death in late 2019.

    Title Round Dave Jordano, 6 photographs from the (Human) Landscapes series, 2019 Add a Title More: Dave Jordano Dave Jordano (Born Detroit, Michigan, 1948) received a BFA in photography from the College for Creative Studies in 1974. In 1977 he established a successful commercial photography studio in Chicago, IL, shooting major print campaigns for national advertising agencies. Since 2000, Jordano has concentrated on fine art documentary photography. He received the Curator’s Choice Award for his documentary work and has been selected as a top 20 finalist in Photolucida's “Critical Mass” International Photography Competition several times. A major exhibition of his work from the “Articles of Faith” project was held at the Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago, Illinois in 2009. Jordano won the prestigious Canadian AIAMI / AGO Photography Prize in 2015, which included a $50,000 stipend and a six week residency in the northern arctic town of Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada. Jordano has exhibited both nationally and internationally and his work is included in several private, corporate, and museum collections. Most notably the Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division, Washington DC, the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, IL, The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Mary & Leigh Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, the Harris Bank Collection, and the Federal Reserve Bank.
