Laura Naples came to painting after earlier work in graphic design, dance, and calligraphy, and her practice retains a strong sensitivity to line, movement, and atmosphere. Her work explores subtle energies of wonder and presence across the natural world and human-made forms, tracing how they are sensed and communicated. Drawing on design, dance, and calligraphy, she works with diluted acrylic washes, allowing water and gravity to flow into gradient textures. Gestural acts of surrender and intention emerge as evidential markers of her practices in meditation, movement, and inquiry.
