Fred Tomaselli is recognized for his unusual materials and hallucinatory style. He is best known for his highly detailed, multi-layered works on wood panels using a mix of organic matter (leaves, flowers) and synthetic items (aspirin, pills, magazine cutouts), all encapsulated in a clear, glass-like epoxy resin. Tomaselli’s art explores human perception, the natural world, and the tension between beauty and the darker aspects of contemporary life.
