What internships are available?
We place students in nearly every department at MOCA, however not every internship is offered every season. Job descriptions for available internships can be found below.
Where will I be working?
♦ MOCA’s building is a stunning jewel with beautiful, open office spaces, right in the heart of Cleveland’s UpTown district.
What are the deadlines and start dates?
Internships are loosely based on MOCA's exhibition seasons, which are Winter/Spring (January - May); Summer (June - August); and Fall (September - December). Some internships overlap so please refer to the job description for details.
Deadline to apply for the Winter/Spring Internship is Nov. 1
Deadline to apply for the Summer Internship is April 1
Deadline to apply for the Fall Internship is July 1
A few more things to keep in mind:
- MOCA internships are unpaid but provide an exceptional opportunity to gain real work-world experience.
- MOCA internships are intended for college students, generally in their senior year or in grad school.
- Plan on working 8-16 hours per week with a schedule based on your availability.
- You should reside in the Cleveland area during your internship. We can’t help with relocation expenses.
- We encourage international applicants, however MOCA does not provide financial reimbursement or sponsorship for international visas.
- We want you to have the full experience so interns should expect to work in the office rather than at home.
- We will happily collaborate with your educational institution to give you academic credit for your experience.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Please note: MOCA internships are intended for college students, generally in their senior year or in grad school.
