ONsite at moCa
Join exhibiting artist Jeff Kasper for an afternoon of creative conversations and expressive art making around the themes of vulnerability and support.
Jeff Kasper is an artist, writer, and educator who uses the tools and techniques of graphic design and contemplative practices to create public art and participatory learning projects. Based on his own lived experiences and observations, much of his recent projects explore topics of social support, mental and emotional health, safety, and boundaries. He is very interested in how art and design can help people practice self-determination and collective care in times of conflict and crisis.

Inspired by wrestling embrace—a conceptual card game designed by Kasper and featured in Don’t mind if I do—this event includes two parts filled to the brim with interactive activities.
From 1-2:15PM, engage in paired conversations and contemplative writing on the comfy seating in the exhibition at the Lewis Gallery.
Dive deeper from 2:30-3:30PM for an open design session on the main floor of moCa. Visitors will be invited to design their own safe spaces with colorful and tactile materials. There will also be opportunities to share designs with others throughout the event.
Drop in for a calm, relaxing, and slow-paced, mindful making environment—participate in any way that feels comfortable to you.
Be a part of one or both parts of the event. Experiencing each part in sequence is recommended but not required.
All art and writing materials will provided.
