Cleveland based cartoonist and How to Remain Human artist Derf Backderf visits to discuss his graphic novels including, Trashed, a comedic blue-collar epic about garbageman, My Friend Dahmer, an accound of growing up with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, and Punk Rock & Trailer Parks, set in Akron's vibrant punk rock scene in 1980.


Derf is the winner of four European book prizes, including a prestigious Angoulême Comics Prize, and of an Alex Award from the American Library Association, and a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for the political humor of his long-running comic strip, The City. Join us following his talk for a book signing.
