On the Axis is a two-day program hosted in partnership with moCa Cleveland and the Julia De Burgos Cultural Arts Center (JDBCAC). This experience provides audiences with an opportunity to delve deeper into Axis Mundo: Queer Networks in Chicano L.A. Curator and artist-led workshops and tours will take place at both moCa and JDBCAC. Be inspired, talk to the artists, and listen to insights about life, creativity, and their collaborative ways of working.

Facilitated by artist Joey Terrill, this workshop underscores the importance of collaboration within DIY art scenes. Participants will engage in an exquisite corpse workshop while Terrill leads a discussion about collaborative practices.

Celebrate the relationship between zines and DIY culture with the launch of BOUND by Mail and the reissue of Joey’s publication, Homeboy Beautiful.
