You don’t have to "get" the art for the art to get to you! MOCA enriches the
relationship between art and audience through tours led by volunteer docent
educators who are trained to tour each exhibition and, in many cases, have met
the artists whose work is on view. Some of our docents are artists themselves.
Some are teachers. They all love sharing their enthusiasm for, and knowledge of,
contemporary art. Each docent will focus on a select number of works to engage
students and visitors in active looking and discussion.
One-hour group tours, offering something for every interest level, can be arranged
for groups of any age and up to 45 participants. Our specially trained
docent volunteers, museum educators, or curators can customize a tour to
fit your schedule and interests. Tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
K-12 Group Tours
Tours are free to all K-12 groups and busing assistance is available to groups that
qualify. A make-and-take art activity may be added to you tour for a fee of $25 per 15
students. The Cleveland Play House provides secure parking for MOCA Cleveland visitors.
Contact Nicole Ledinek at 216.421.8671 ext. 41 for rates.
University Tour Groups
Self-guided and guided visits are available to all University groups. Docent-led tours
are free and self-guided visits receive reduced admission when scheduled at least two
weeks in advance. All tours not scheduled in advance will be charged full admission.
Many Northeast Ohio universities and colleges, including Case Western Reserve University
and Cleveland State University, offer free admission to MOCA. Please check with student
services at your school to learn about free or reduced-fare admission.
Adult Tour Groups

or docent-led tours for all adult groups will receive a reduced admission when scheduled at
least two weeks in advance. Tours not scheduled in advance will be charged full admission of
$4 per adult and $3 per senior with a valid I.D.
A catered lunch for adult groups can be provided for an additional fee. Please contact
