Mindful: Slow + Low Yoga
$25; $20 for MOCA Members
Mindfulness: Finding Balance In The Gallery
Eastern philosophies and religious traditions such as Tibetan Buddhism, the mind and body’s relationship to consciousness, and the fundamental structures of healing in the natural and human worlds underpin INDUCTION. Weaving sound, touch, and image in a low-lit, deep blue space, INDUCTION encourages awareness of the relationship and balance between body, mind, and spirit. MOCA is offering a series of Saturday morning classes led by area experts designed to support these reflective experiences and build mindfulness.
SLOW + LOW
Join Gwendolyn Ren, certified Yoga Instructor of Cleveland’s Abide Yoga for Slow + Low yoga. A gentle, low to the ground practice exploring breath awareness and the edges of your personal practice. Subtle movement is key; A mindful, stretch-y, low-structure class. "Restorative in Motion". Especially recommended if you live a high-stress, fast-paced lifestyle, if you have anxiety, or if you are the parent of small children!
Intuitive movement and intentional stillness have long been the catalysts for Gwen’s own self discovery and provide the foundation for the practices she shares. How can we offer ourselves what we need? In this process of learning to listen and trust ourselves can our body and our mind begin to truly feel free.
