ArtSquad in Action: All About Abstraction (Part 3)
Free for kids; Museum admission for caregivers
Whether acting out shapes or singing about doodles, your 3, 4, or 5 year old will love this deep dive, play-based program exploring different kinds of abstraction over 4 weeks. Cherry + Beauregard, MOCA’s fuzzy, huggable ArtSquad, will help guide this hour-long program, which centers on abstract art found in the MOCA exhibitions. Designed and led by an Early Childhood Educator, the series is exclusively for your preschooler, who will learn new vocabulary, practice communication, refine gross and fine motor skills, and strengthen social skills through creative play.
Each class builds on the previous one, so attending all 4 classes is strongly encouraged. Class size is limited; preregistration is required by clicking here or calling 216.421.8671.
All programs are funded by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and Leadership Circle gifts from anonymous donors, Yuval Brisker, Joanne Cohen and Morris Wheeler, Margaret Cohen and Kevin Rahilly, Becky Dunn, Harriet Goldberg, Agnes Gund, Richard and Michelle Jeschelnig, Donna and Stewart Kohl, Jan Lewis, Toby Devan Lewis, and Scott Mueller.
All MOCA Cleveland programs are supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, the Cleveland Foundation, the George Gund Foundation, and the continuing support of the Museum’s Board of Directors, patrons, and members.
