Young at Art
MOCA provides families with an opportunity to explore contemporary art together and
encourages individual creativity at any age.
Everyday at MOCA families can take advantage of:
FREE admission for children 12 and under
ArtyPacks, which offer gallery games, simple activities, and thought-provoking
questions to get your family talking about art and ideas
Changing exhibitions every 3-4 months that provide new experiences to families
multiple times each year
Kid-Zone, a carpeted area in our commons, complete with artful books and
materials for families to enjoy
Season Family Programs
Family Fun Days
Three times per year, families and kids of all ages are invited to MOCA’s Family
Fun Days, where adults and children explore and experience the art and ideas of our
time together for FREE.
Featuring programs such as storytelling, dance and music performances, and puppet
shows, Family Fun Days entertain, educate, and excite visitors of all ages. Families
enjoy working with artists and museum educators on make-and-take art projects that
relate to the current exhibitions in fun new ways. Families also enjoy refreshments
and explore the exhibitions on view with a guide or on their own.

ArtyPacks
ArtyPacks - kid-friendly gallery backpacks - offer imaginative ways for adults and kids
to explore and understand contemporary art together. Check out an ArtyPack at our
Visitors Service desk for free and find games, fun facts and questions, scavenger hunts,
and spaces to create your own art. Take an ArtyPack guide with you to continue the conversation
and art making at home.

Family Art Studio
Free during seasonal public openings
The MOCA Family Art Studio provides a free, family-friendly atmosphere during our opening
celebrations. Come for the party, see great art, and stay to create a work of your own! Located
in MOCA's Education Room, children 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, can enjoy hands-on
activities related to the season's exhibition and complementary refreshments courtesy of
Whole Foods (Cedar Center).

Partner Programs
MOCA participates in family-friendly programming with other arts and cultural institutions
in University Circle and throughout the community, including Holiday CircleFest, Summer Circler
