   Casual Cocktail Hour

Every other Wednesday in June and July, MOCA invites audiences from either side of the Cuyahoga for a casual "neighborhood" cocktail hour featuring food and drink from local vendors.  Some mixers will be informal gatherings while others feature real-time music concerts in Second Life or rapid-fire chats about local neighborhoods.

   FREE Lecture: Changing Milan
  FREE + Open to the Public

The KSU College of Architecture & Environmental Design and the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative will present a lecture by

ALBERTO FRANCINI, architect, Milan, Italy www.metrogramma.com &

ANDREAS KIPAR, landscape architect, Milan, Italy, and Duisburg, Germany, www.landsrl.com

The lecture is free and open to the public. Light refreshments served. Attendees will also have a chance, before or after the lecture, to see the current shows at MOCA, which will be open from 5:00pm.

Alberto Francini and Andreas Kipar are members of the team developing innovative plans for the expansion and greening of the Milan. The plan includes major new green infrastructure for the city, integrated with new and redeveloped commercial and housing areas. This effort and many of the architectural projects resulting from it have become an important model designers interested in the urban landscape of the 21st century.

Artist Statement of no more than 500 words

Any relevant press regarding the work

Self-addressed, stamped envelope for return of materials

As Director and Chief Curator of the Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, Raphaela Platow is passionately engaged in the dynamic relationship between contemporary art, art museums, and the global community.  Reflecting on her professional roles, Platow will explore the relevance of contemporary art and institutions in an increasingly complex world.
