MOCA Cleveland presents programs throughout the year, geared toward all audiences. Artist talks, gallery tours and programs like One Hour | One Work make learning about current exhibitions exciting. The MOCA ArtSquad's Beauregard and Cherry are here to help our newest and youngest art lovers to LOOK. THINK. SHARE. MOCA also knows how to throw a party from time to time. What does a majestic oak tree on the campus of James Ford Rhodes High School have to do with Olympic gold medalist, Jesse Owens, and why is it featured prominently in Cyprien Gaillard's Nightlife, currently at MOCA? The tree was given to Owens by Adolf Hitler after he won four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics in Nazi Germany. Owens planted one tree at Rhodes, where it still stands today, a largely forgotten monument.
